Oh LEvo-No!!! My Lenovo cant boot after windows installation??!!! haha read this :)
My Lenovo cannot/is not/would not Boot when restarting after installing Windows update
Have you ever bought something online just to be fazed because they were fault? What is worse is that it has shattered your property? Well it happened to me and this is my story ☹
I started to learn programming and was very into it. The fact that it is such a diversified activity, I became really into it. However, my pc lacked the required spec to do anything. Thus, I decided to upgrade it by switching new Rams and GPU.
Happy and contented, I purchased and received the products. Yet, Bad news struck forcing an end to my excitement. Both products eventually ended up being cancerous. The Rams caused a shock to my motherboard, power supply, and original rams. They ended up being dead. So, I had to send for maintenance. They switched necessary parts and fixed my PC.
Stop! You would think my story is done. I must disappoint you. They switch to a Lenovo board with cracked windows. Telling me that they were legit and showed it to me and it worked at their shop. So, I went home readily to boot my pc. Again, thunder stroke. Not only were the windows outdated, it installed windows update and did not Boot. I consulted the repairman and he sent me this;
Apparently, many Lenovo users faced such situations. I was really in shock (Definitely, I privately consulted him that he fixed me a board that has such issues and all you can resolve me with is an article or link to workout myself) “You cannot sell me something and then tell me this product has issues that is widely recognized! This is business not a bloody tutorial” I said. Anyway,
To Resolve
Based on the link above, they provided an array of solutions. However, my efforts were just a waste. I personally do not recommend as this will only continuously end up in booting and shutting down the pc.
So, what I did was literally googled again for answers (the irony). This time I found my final and exact solution that fixed my Lenovo problem! (I couldn’t retrace it anymore, but I know how relax).
1) What I did was, I entered the Bios, Disable Quick Boot and exited the Bios
2) Then I proceeded to press F8 while holding on to shift repeatedly. (press it right after you exit Bios)
3) You will hear multiple beeps in a fast pace (*beep x ∞) then you will find yourself shifted to the Logo window and it will load then proceed to the Initializing Phase.
5) Once its loaded just wait and magic will happen.
I have done this process several times and kept installing & updating my windows when it boots successfully to get pass the buggy update.
Until the end I successfully help my pc overcome such problem and now it boots immediately 😊
My update attempt was only 1 to 2 times so do not worry that it’ll take forever.
If you worry or wonder what happened or why, just know that the windows is not broken. I have troubleshooted on many occasions and realised that the only trouble phase is the shift from logo to windows. If it fails to boot after installation, u will see a black screen with a ( _ ) beeping non stop.
I tried all the methods given in the link and only to find myself in the cycle of USB Booting. Why i said that windows was fine is because if you go to system Re-image, u will find yourself with the *next* button that is not greyed out after clicking ok and u can actually click it to access the files in your pc, even your USB files.
As i do not really understand deeply to why and how, but i managed to override this situation and initially i did believe that by going through the safe boot i can repair the windows, but as said, there wasnt any issues on the inside and it was impossible for me to enter safe boot, idk why. Thus, my conclusion.
I may be wrong but again, this is what i experienced and successfully overcomed. Do correct me if i am wrong.
